Play Date

I took Sims to the Mississippi Museum of Art last Saturday for a play date with some of his long-time friends: Millie, Campbell, Lauren and Peyton. I had them all stop for a quick pic before we went into the exhibit. As you can see, they were all smiles. They had a great time! Jim Henson's Muppets were on display. I managed to snap a picture of Kermit before I was told no cameras were allowed. Oops! The kids favorite part was getting to put on a puppet show for us. After the museum, we all went to dinner at Sal and Mookies. Yummy! We are looking forward to our next play date. I think roller-skating may be in the works? That should be interesting!

Back to Bloggin'

Things have been super crazy for me recently. I had a ton of family at my house for Christmas. After Christmas I packed up my entire house and moved. Then I started in a new position with the bank the first of the year. Needless-to-say, it was a lot of change all at once, and I have had a lot of adjusting to do. I am finally feeling settled, and back to normal . . . whatever that is?! I think I'm ready to get back to bloggin' ....so watch out!

Trick-or-Treat

Sims dressed as an Indian for Halloween this year. He decided he wanted to be an Indian after becoming a big fan of Davey Crockett. He watches it all the time.
We trick-or-treated in our neighborhood with our friends; Robin, Lauren, Tiffany and Brayden. Lauren dressed as Cinderella, and Brayden dressed as the Incredible Hulk. After the kids got their pumpkins filled up with candy, we went to Robin's neighbors house for hamburgers and tator tots. Yummy! We had a great Halloween. Sims has already told me he wants to be a Southern Miss Football player for Halloween next year. We'll see.

Happy Pumpkin Day!

Sims and I decorated our pumpkins with a fun decorating kit this year. Sims decorated his pumpkin as a dog, and I decorated mine as a pig. We had a lot of fun, and it was super easy. I guess we will attempt carving one next year maybe? Sims took the pictures of me, and I think he did a great job. He was so proud of himself. Happy Pumpkin Day everyone!

Pumpkin Patch

Sims and I went to the Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch for the fourth year in a row last Sunday afternoon. It was an absolute picture perfect day. It has become tradition to go every year with our friends, Robin and Lauren Hamilton, and Cathy and Campbell Duease. This year Campbell's grandparents, Johnny and Kaye Duease, came too. We all rode through the farm on a hay-ride, and got to see lots of animals along the way. Then we stopped to pick out a pumpkin and play.

Mississippi State Fair

Sims and I recently went to the Mississippi State Fair with our friends, the Ellis'. They were in town from Oxford, Ms. It was actually our fourth year to go to the Fair with the Ellis'. It has become tradition. We had so much fun!
Sims was 43 inches tall this year, and he was able to ride a lot of new rides. It was his first time to ride in a bumper car. He loved it! He also rode the water log ride for the first time. Vaiden was tall enough to ride the water log ride last year, and Sims cried because he couldn't. He was so excited to ride with Vaiden this year. Sims also got chosen to be part of a little dog show. I think the dog liked Sims just as much as Sims liked the dog.

Ole Miss Football

Sims and I spent last weekend with our friends, the Ellis', in Oxford. They got us tickets to the Ole Miss/Alabama game. The weather was terrible, but we still had a great time with our friends. Sims looked precious in the red and blue, but he still bleeds black and gold. Half-way through the game he turned to me and said, "Mommy, the Eagles are much better than this."
